C.B.T Renewals from £79.00 with Pavilion. Book now

C.B.T. stands for compulsory basic training and ,with a few exceptions, everyone must take a CBT as a minimum if they want to be able to ride a motorcycle or moped on the road. Those people who are exempt* from taking a CBT should seriously consider taking it as the safety aspects of the course are essential for any new rider.

(Persons holding a full British Driving license issued prior to 2001 may be entitled to ride a moped to a maximum of 50cc. this will be displayed on the back of the plastic part of your license.)

CBT is a great way to find out if biking is suited to you and its good fun too. If you are 16 and are fed up with using 'mums taxi' to get you around a CBT lets you ride a moped and could give you the freedom you are looking for.

Our well trained instructors will take you through each stage of the course, even if you have never been on a motorcycle or scooter before. We have a range of 125cc motorcycles and 50cc mopeds to suit all abilities and run CBT courses 7 days a week. Included in the price is bike hire, fuel and insurance, there are no hidden charges. The CBT is a fixed fee course so there are no extra charges if you need extra training.

Licence

You will need to bring both parts of your driving license.
If you have an old style paper license you will need to bring proof of ID such as your passport. If you do not have a driving license you will need to apply for a provisional license and present this at the start of your CBT.

Clothing

Helmets, gloves and Jackets are all included in the course price however if you already have your own equipment we recommend you bring it along. Please wear thick jeans/trousers and strong shoes.

Right Attitude

CBT is not a test but neither is it a formality. Those students that come with a positive attitude and a keenness to learn something new will find the course easier and more enjoyable.
