At Pavilion Rider Training our aim is to get you enjoying biking quickly and safely. Obviously safety is of paramount importance but we also realise that many of our students are learning for recreational reasons so we make learning to ride an enjoyable experience too.

 

 


 

Do I need a Theory test to take my CBT?
No but a good knowledge of the highway code is important, you can take a free trial theory test at the DSA web site to test your knowledge.

I took a theory test when I passed my car test does this count?
No you will need to take the Theory test specific to Motorcycles.

Can I take my Theory Test after my Practical Test?
No. We will not be able to book your Practical Test until we have the number from your Theory Test pass certificate.

Is training for the Theory Test included in the course?
Yes we have DVD an CDROMS for practicing the Theory Test and Hazard Perception Test for you to borrow. It is extremely rare for students to fail the Theory Test if they have practiced using these.

I've been riding small motorcycles/mopeds for ages will I still need training?
Yes, there are specific areas of the Motorcycle practical test that cannot be covered by experience.

I've been driving a car for years why do I need training?
Riding a motorcycle is very different, it takes hours of training just to get used to the controls of a motorcycle.

I'm confused about the different types of motorcycle test?
